Maybe the life you’ve built no longer feels like the life you want.

You’re used to knowing what to do.

Avalanche Lake in Glacier National Park, still water reflecting snow-streaked peaks and forested slopes under a bright sky.
  • When there’s a problem, you solve it.
  • When something needs to happen, you make it happen.
  • You plan, prepare, anticipate, take responsibility, hold a lot.

And perhaps, somewhere along the way, control became one of the ways you learned to feel safe.

For a long time, this way of being worked. It helped you build a business, become a leader, navigate hard things, and create a life that once felt right.

But something has changed.

Maybe your body is changing…
A relationship is ending…
The work that once gave you purpose no longer feels meaningful.

Maybe you’re grieving the life you thought you’d have. Or maybe nothing has dramatically fallen apart at all.

You can feel that the life you’ve known is changing. And this time, you don’t know what comes next.

What you do know is that you’re no longer willing to abandon yourself to maintain what was.

Questions that sound something like

Who am I now?

What do I actually want?

What makes me feel alive?

And where do I go from here?

And what you need is space from the noise of your everyday life to hear yourself again.

A four-night immersive retreat for women at a threshold

Remembrance Retreat

By application

Remember who you are.

Beneath the identities, roles, trauma, expectations, and perceptions you’ve carried.

Remember your aliveness.

Through your body. Through the herd. Through the wild.

Remembrance is an intimate retreat for women business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders who have done the inner work and find themselves standing at a threshold between the life they’ve known and whatever comes next.

For four immersive days, we’ll step away from our everyday lives and into the wild beauty of Northwest Montana.

Through somatic work, Equìa with the herd, adventure in Glacier National Park, deep conversation, meaningful human connection, rest, play, and spaciousness, you’ll have an opportunity to reconnect with yourself and explore what makes you feel fully alive.

Before you decide who you’re becoming next, give yourself the space to remember who you are.

Ruby Fremon crouching in an open paddock beside a chestnut horse, both at rest under a clear sky.

The premise

Healing isn’t the destination. Aliveness is.

You may already understand a lot about yourself. You’ve done therapy, read countless books, taken courses, and worked with coaches, practitioners, or healers.

You know your patterns. You understand how your past has shaped you. And still, understanding yourself is different from feeling fully alive.

I believe aliveness is our natural state. Awe. Gratitude. Presence. Vitality. Connection.

Trauma, conditioning, and the identities we learn to carry can disconnect us from that aliveness. Healing can become a path back to it.

The somatic work at Remembrance isn’t centered around the pursuit of catharsis. You won’t be pushed to manufacture an emotional breakthrough or prove how deep you’re willing to go.

Depth does not require intensity.

My approach is rooted in Somatic Experiencing®, compassionate coaching, capacity and resilience building, grounded presence, and relationship.

There may be grief… There may be emotion… And there will also be laughter, awe, adventure, beauty, rest, movement, horses, incredible conversations, and moments that remind you how good it feels to be here.

Pain may be part of what emerges, but it isn’t the center of the experience. Remembrance is designed around life.

Four reconnections

The body. The herd. The wild. Each other.

Four ways we’ll reconnect with what makes us feel alive.

The body

Through guided somatic practices, we’ll slow down enough to notice what your body is communicating and deepen your capacity to stay present with what you feel.

My approach weaves Somatic Experiencing® with coaching and my own facilitation methodology, with an emphasis on capacity, resilience, presence, and relationship.

There is no expectation to perform your healing here.

The herd

We’ll spend two immersive sessions with the horses through Equìa, my approach to equine-assisted somatic work.

There is no riding and no previous experience with horses is necessary.

Through presence, relationship, somatic awareness, and co-regulation, the herd offers another way to experience yourself and your relationship to the world around you. Throughout our stay, we’ll also share Blue Star with their resident herd of miniature horses.

The wild

One of our days together will take us into Glacier National Park for a beginner-to-intermediate hiking adventure.

Expect a physical challenge alongside awe, beauty, movement, and adventure. You’ll receive a training plan before the retreat to help you physically prepare.

Aliveness isn’t something we’ll only talk about at Remembrance. We’ll experience it.

Each other

Human connection is at the heart of Remembrance. This is an intentionally small gathering where you can show up beyond your professional identity, accomplishments, and the pressure to have it all figured out.

There will be deep, facilitated conversations and shared somatic experiences, alongside meals around the table, adventure, laughter, downtime, and time simply spent living alongside one another.

Come as you are, not as who you think you need to be.

The itinerary

Your days at Remembrance.

Immersive days that feel full yet spacious. Each day has an intentional rhythm, with facilitated experiences alongside time for rest, integration, and connection.

Day one June 3 Release

Arrive at Blue Star, settle into your space, and meet the women you’ll be sharing the next four days with.

We’ll begin with our opening circle, somatic work, facilitated connection, and our first private-chef dinner together.

A day to arrive, exhale, and begin releasing your grip on what you no longer need to carry.

Day two June 4 Reconnect

We’ll move deeper into the experience through guided somatic work, facilitated conversation, and our first immersive Equìa session with the herd.

There will be space throughout the day for rest, integration, shared meals, and connection.

A day to reconnect with your body, yourself, the herd, and one another.

Day three June 5 Reawaken

We’ll head into Glacier National Park for a day of movement, challenge, awe, beauty, and adventure.

Our beginner-to-intermediate hike invites you to challenge yourself physically while experiencing one of the world’s most breathtaking landscapes.

A day to get out of your head and into the experience of being fully alive.

Day four June 6 Remember

Our final full day brings us back to the herd for our second immersive Equìa experience, alongside somatic work, reflection, facilitated conversation, and integration.

We’ll create space to notice what has shifted, what feels true, and what you’ve remembered about yourself along the way.

A day to gather the pieces and carry them forward.

Departure June 7 Blue Star, by 12:00 pm.

Where we gather

Held by the wild.

Blue Star Resort & Retreat in Northwest Montana.

There’s something about Northwest Montana that invites you to come back to what’s real. The mountains, forests, wide-open skies, crystal-clear water, and the stillness found in nature…

It’s the kind of beauty that pulls you out of your thoughts and into the moment you’re actually living.

Blue Star Resort and Retreat from the air: dark-timbered lodges and cabins gathered around a clearing deep in Montana pine forest, with open pasture and a line of blue mountains beyond.

For four nights, Blue Star will be our home. A place to gather around the table, rest between experiences, spend time outside, visit with the resident mini horses, detox inside the traditional Finnish sauna, and connect with one another.

A narrow dirt trail in Glacier National Park running along a slope of wildflowers toward a headwall of grey peaks streaked with snowfields, a turquoise glacial lake in the valley below.

Beyond Blue Star, we’ll experience more of Northwest Montana through our hiking adventure in Glacier National Park and time exploring downtown Whitefish. Space to breathe. Beauty to take in. Life to experience.

Who this is for

Is Remembrance for you?

Remembrance is for women business owners, entrepreneurs, and leaders who find themselves at a threshold.

You’ve done the inner work. You’re not new to therapy, coaching, personal development, or exploring yourself more deeply.

You’re used to being capable, holding responsibility, figuring things out, helping those around you, and making things happen.

And right now, something is changing. You don’t know what comes next… But you are ready to meet yourself differently.

Ruby Fremon standing at a bay horse's shoulder with one hand resting on its back, turning to the camera and smiling, a paint horse grazing behind her.

Remembrance may be for you if you’re ready to

  • Explore who you are beneath the identities and roles you’ve carried
  • Reconnect with your body and deepen your capacity to be present with yourself
  • Get curious about what you actually want now
  • Experience more awe, gratitude, vitality, presence, and connection
  • Be challenged physically through adventure in the wild
  • Engage deeply with a small group of professional women navigating thresholds of their own
  • Show up without needing to perform, impress, or have it all figured out
  • Stay open to what you may discover about yourself and what comes next

You don’t need to arrive with answers. You do need to arrive willing.

Your facilitator

Meet Ruby.

I’ve spent more than a decade supporting leaders through change, healing, and the thresholds that reshape their lives.

By the time we gather for Remembrance, I’ll be a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), having completed the three-year professional training in Somatic Experiencing®, the modality developed by Dr. Peter Levine.

My work weaves this depth of somatic training with coaching, group facilitation, and Equìa, my approach to equine-assisted somatic work.

My training informs how I facilitate, but my ability to see people is what gives this work its humanity.

I listen deeply. I notice what’s being said and what may be harder to say. I create spaces where people can drop the performance and experience what it’s like to be genuinely seen, heard, and witnessed.

Remembrance will be my first group retreat since 2021, and what I’ve missed most is the connection. As our world becomes increasingly digital and disconnected, I believe human-to-human connection matters more than ever… Especially for women who are quietly navigating life-changing thresholds.

Sharing meals. Looking each other in the eyes. Laughing until it hurts. Sitting beside someone in silence. Moving our bodies. Being in nature. Spending time with the herd.

I’ve watched relationships formed at my previous retreats continue for years, becoming lifelong friendships and even business collaborations. I know how to create the conditions for that kind of connection.

And I cannot wait to gather again.

How to join us

An intentionally curated gathering.

Remembrance is limited to 12 women, and participation is application-based.

The application isn’t about proving that you’re accomplished enough, healed enough, or are “the right kind” of woman to attend. It helps me thoughtfully curate a group that feels aligned with the intention and depth of this experience.

Because who we gather with matters.

Applications are personally reviewed on a rolling basis. If your application is accepted, you’ll receive an invitation to enroll and select from the accommodations still available. Once all spaces are filled, applications will close.

Transportation details TBA

How should I plan my travel to Montana?

Northwest Montana is a beautiful place to gather, and getting here requires a little advance planning.

Our closest airport is Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) in Kalispell. It’s a smaller regional airport with limited flight schedules, and depending on where you’re traveling from, your flight may require a connection.

I strongly recommend booking your flights well in advance once your place at Remembrance is confirmed.

You’re also welcome to make the journey part of the experience and road trip to Montana. If you choose to drive, please plan your route and accommodations in advance.

Detailed arrival, departure, and ground transportation information will be provided after enrollment so you can coordinate your travel accordingly.

What time should I arrive and depart?

Arrival at Blue Star Resort: June 3 by 3:00 pm.

Departure: June 7 by 12:00 pm.

Do I need experience with somatic work?

No specific somatic training is required. Remembrance is designed for women who already have experience with personal growth and inner work.

Do I need experience with horses?

No. There is no riding, and no previous horse experience is necessary.

How physically demanding is the Glacier hike?

Our hike will be rated beginner to intermediate and requires a reasonable level of physical fitness. You’ll receive a training plan before the retreat to help you prepare.

What should I pack?

You’ll receive a complete packing list before Remembrance. Plan for comfortable layers, changing Montana weather, closed-toe shoes for the herd, and appropriate clothing and footwear for our Glacier hike.

Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Most dietary restrictions will be accommodated. Once your seat is confirmed, you’ll receive a questionnaire that asks for your dietary preferences.

Can I use the Finnish sauna more than once?

Yes. One group sauna experience is included. Additional sessions may be booked at your own expense through Blue Star, subject to availability.

Why is there an application?

The group itself is an important part of Remembrance. The application allows me to thoughtfully curate a group of women aligned with the experience’s intention and depth.

Because who we gather with matters.

What happens after I apply?

Applications are personally reviewed on a rolling basis. If invited, you’ll receive enrollment details and the accommodation options still available.

Your place is secured once you enroll and submit your first payment.

Are payment plans available?

Yes. Choose pay in full or two equal payments. The total investment is the same with either option.

What is the cancellation policy?

I understand that plans can change and unexpected circumstances arise. Because Remembrance is an intimate retreat with limited accommodations and advance commitments, the following cancellation policy applies:

Through January 31, 2027. Payments made are refundable, minus any non-refundable service and processing fees.

February 1–28, 2027. 50% of your total retreat investment is non-refundable. If you selected the two-payment plan, this is equivalent to your first payment.

Beginning March 1, 2027. All payments are non-refundable.

Because of the intimate size of this retreat, exceptions to the cancellation policy cannot be made. I strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers your retreat investment and travel expenses.

Weather, flight disruptions, illness, and other unexpected circumstances may occur, and a cancellation policy may apply regardless of the reason for cancellation. Check with your insurance provider.

The invitation

Maybe it’s time to remember.

You already know something is changing. Remembrance is an invitation to step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with who you are, what you want, and what makes you feel alive.

Come as you are, not as who you think you need to be.

If you know you’re ready, I invite you to apply.
